ASR off light stays on

I replaced my alternator the other day, and now I cannot turn my ASR on or off. It just stays off all the time. Any ideas?

i hate to ask stupid questions, but. . . did you check the fuses ? most often the problem. pretty sure its the box under the hood, but possibly under the dash. cant remember

+1 Start there. On my Trans Am, the system works, however, the light on the switch has apparently died. I take it your indicator in the instrument cluster is also not working. Only one way to know for sure...
