Interior color Yuck!!

So we all know that the tan interior in most of Pontiac's is god ugly.. I am looking to purchasing 30th an leather for the seats my question is how hard is it to replace the center consul, dash, and carpeting? I'm looking for black. Is it hard to track down all the pieces necessary to doing this complete interior overhaul?

I personally like the tan, classy look. If you don't like it I'd suggest finding another 4th gen without it. Tan wasn't too common so it's easy to find another car with the color you wish. Much easier than trying to swap a dash and other pieces. Even harder (in my opinion) to find the pieces that are in good usable shape anyway.

The most common color in these is gray, with ebony behind that, and then Tan..

You could probably get ahold of a dealer and get some of what you'll need new.

OR,, have the old stuff recovered @ an upolstery(sp) shop.

I'm with FBJ though on the tan, but you want what you like and I can understand that too.

You'll have some time into tearing all the old stuff out for sure..

You will have to dismantle most of the center console to get it completely out.

Also,, if you break anything due to prying things apart (which is nearly a guarantee),

since some parts (mostly in the dash) "snap" together.

Then,, of course, once you've made the change,, the interior scheme will also no longer jive with the RPO.

This will hurt the vehicles overall value, and likely look like a unreported incident that was fixed if ever sold/traded.

Just my .02 as it will be yours to do with as you wish..

Exactly my thoughts 100%. When I see things changed to this extreme I usually keep looking.

Me too.. I'm a "zero modification" guy when I buy cars/trucks..

Well in my case I am looking to keep this car for a very long time and hate this interior color so I'm going over my options
