Help, finally failed inspection due to no cats. Options?
So I have Hooker LT's and true duals so no cats. I have the rear o2's deleted from the system. Do you guys recommend a "fake cat" so it looks like I have cats or do I need to put real cats on? theres not a lot of room to work with either. I live in VA. Thanks!

You're probably going to need to put cats in it. Do they do an actual sniffer test, or plug in to the PCM? Do they inspect under the hood?

I took my car to get it inspected and it passed. They only did a visual inspection. But I do have high flow cats.

If they do visual, get a pair of round cats from Magnaflow, or one of our sponsors. They will fit and you won't get hit with an exhaust tampering fine.

How much will it change my performance?

GM LeMans/Luxo Blue- 2001 Firebird Formula
I put high-flow Magnaflows on my Formula and didn't notice a difference at all versus not having cats at all. They are pretty small so they will fit in pretty tight places...the passenger side cat is under the passenger floorboard and the drivers side cat is close to being under the driver's seat. I had them weld in bungs after the cats and put in rear o2 sensors but then had them tuned out by Frost. Works like a charm!
