    Bobble Water Bottle review!

home | bobble | filtered water bottles | make water better

The GF and myself found this little gadget in Best Buy about 6 months ago and since we drink insane amounts of water since we cut back on sodas and sports drinks we figured we would give it a shot. It was $10 and the replacement filters last 300 bottles of water and retail for $6 so its cheap compared to buying bottle water. Here is how it breaks down IMHO!

Taste: Most important thing about water besides safety. This won't make water taste as good as some of the high end bottled waters but considering the water taste around my parts, it does a pretty good job. It takes water that I won't touch and allows me to be able to drink it.

Convenience: Excellent! I can go right up to a water fountain and fill it up within a few seconds and be on the go.

Price: Excellent! Considering it costs about $22 (Which comes with a filter) and two extra filters which should easily get you through a year of drinking......thats dirt cheap compared to $1 a bottle at the bare minimum and up to $3 a bottle for the so called good shit around here.

Ease of use: Excellent! Drunk chimp could use it!

So it breaks down on 1/10 scale

    Taste: 6.5/10
    Convenience: 10/10
    Price: 10/10
    Ease of use: 10/10

Overall: 8/10 IMHO I know the average would be 9.1/10 if you average my scores out but everyone has different taste so opinions will vary. The rest really can't be argued.

So you can drink filtered water and still save big money of the course of a year

    wouldn't want to fight them!

Interesting for sure, I just use a brita filter for all my water, the rest of the time I just drink tap, I'll even drink out of the hose when I'm mowing, no fucks given.

I'm picky about the taste of water too and I also drink a ton of it. I can't stand the taste of the tap water around here. I have an RODI system because I have saltwater fish tanks. So, I just fill up the 8, 5 gallon water bottles we have and drink that. I'd say it tastes as good if not better than most bottled water.

< has filtered water out of the fridge door. And 2 metal water containers, plastic ones go bad after a few years of use. I tried a plastic one a few years ago, waste of $35.

Tap water here isn't that bad in the first place. However upnorth, out of the artesian, it has a orange/rust tint to it and a very unique flavor.

Of all the water bottles we have, only one had started to give a sort of plastic type taste to the filtered water. But, they are all Arrowhead bottles except for two of them. It's one of the store bought 5 gallon bottles that started tasting funny. Maybe has to do with the grade of plastic used

    It does.

It has to do with the walls of the bottle that come in contact with the water, they break down over time. I know reusing aquafina type bottels are the worst.

It's a good idea if you're always on the go and refilling at drinking foutains...swamps...toilets. I think brita makes one too. But both are only a charcoal filter so it won't do anything for the taste.
