removing center plastic piece
i need to remove the plastic covering that is part of the lower console and goes all the way back to the arm rest, and goes around the shifter on an automatic. the problem is, the slot where the shifter moves back and forth is not wide enough to get over the grip part of the shifter, anyone know how to get this plastic piece off?

Removing the shift lever handle
To remove the handle, you need to locate and remove the metal clip that pushes into the handle. It should be located on the side facing the dash at the base of the handle and can be removed with a small flat blade screwdriver. Be careful to not lose the clip. I hope this helps!
