Welcome, Dennis. So, you're saying that you are planning on swapping out the LS1 in your 35th Anny for an LT1? I have to ask why...

Welcome back! Curious on the reason for the swap.

TRIPLE BLACK- 2000 CAMARO SS M6 #2100
Don’t think you guys caught that he didn’t mention the terms Z28 or SS therefore he most likely has a V6 and plans to swap in the LT1. Anyway, welcome to the site man!

I was unaware that there were any 35th anniversary packages on the V6... Just the SS.

Silver & Blue- 02 Camaro SS, 04 GTO
Maybe he has a built LT1. I would not swap an LS1 for a LT1 unless there was an advantage. Let's see what he posts.
My ride is a 2002 Camaro SS SLP #3296 with 30k, LTH, 3" Y, CME, Frost tune, K&N, ported TB, Blackwing lid, Bellows, MSD, Denso Iridium, and 85mm MAF, Bilsteins, Eibach springs, SLP strut brace, Adj. Panhard, TA Girdle, UMI, Pro 5.0, Nitto NT555
My wife has a 2004 GTO with the rare SAP, 18" wheels, K&N Cold Air System, MSD, Ported TB, Frost tune, Denso Iridium, Flowmaster cat-back, 3200 Yank, 75k

TRIPLE BLACK- 2000 CAMARO SS M6 #2100
He never said 35th edition or package. If my memory serves me correctly, all 2002 Camao’s including the base models came with that little dash plate that said 35th anniversary Camaro on it. I may be totally wrong though and he may be pulling an LS1 for an LT1 but to me there is zero reasoning behind that swap which brings me to believe that he is talking about a V6. Maybe he will chime in here and let us know.

My guess is he means 35th anniversary model which is all 2002's and not the Limited Edition (LE), which as Momma stated, is indeed only optioned as such on the SS model and looks identical to my car found in my avatar.
Boost gets you laid, unless your name is Jon.

Welcome, your swap will not be easy if you go LT1.
Its going to be harder to do an LT1 as the wiring harness is set up for the 3.8L and LS1 platform.
You will also need an LT1 K member or aftermarket tubular one and a LT1 tranny as it has a different input shaft.
You will need to do a 24x PCM conversion to make the LT1 work with the 2002 harness.
I think You should sell the LT1(JMHO FWIW) and pick up either a 5.3L or 6.0L truck engine with trans or try to find an LS1 w/trans which may be harder to find and pricier.
You will still need an LS K member or aftermarket tubular.
Good Luck which ever way you decide to go.2010 Camaro SIM 2SS/RS A6
