Catbox ~ Lurker to member from Oregon

Hey everyone I go by Catbox.

I do not have a LS engine at all at this time....

    But that could always change.

I do have a 1954 Chevy Bel Air that one could always find its way into though.

It did time in a field for approx 20 years and then the junkyard where it was resqued from.
It used to have hydraulics when I purchased it, but those were poorly installed so I removed them and put it back to a stock but lowered suspension.

I also have a 1973 VW bug that is in the middle of having a 175-ish hp engine with prostreet transmission built up to be my daily driver.
    That should be fun.

Welcome to the site. You don't see those everyday. What future plans do you have for it?

I've always loved Vdubs. I've owned three, two Bajas, a 65, 1300, and a 69, 1600, and a 69 fastback (pancake, auto, slow as hell ). Bajas... Big fun factor My son is restoring and rebuilding his second bug now.

I have no immediate plans for now other than to install a full set of seat belts, freshen the front end up and then drive the wheels of of it

I forgot to mention it has aTijuana interior as well. The PO drive it down there to have it done.

The bug is going to be fun for sure. Going from 46hp to 175ish stol be quite the change.

With the stock engine I ran the quarter in 20.15 seconds at a massive 65 mph. I should be solidly in the 13's at around 100 mph with the new one.

Cam lift will be at .560" and 258° duration at 0.050. Compression will be set at 9.5 to 1.

It will be a 2332, stock was a 1600. It is stroked to 84mm from 69mm and bored to 94mm from 85.5mm.
    Fun indeed.

    G'day and welcome.
It's not how fast you can go. It's how fast you can get there.

I'd like to see some more pictures of both
