Here's my IMHO, film looks like it might be decent. Jackson doesn't give two shits towards Tolkien's actual intentions or writings. The dwarves look like shit. Read the book (which I have Many times). "The Hobbit" was originally intended as a children's book. Today's film makers don't give a shit about that. They're NOT in the slightest bit interested in the REAL Tolkien. It will probably be a good action film as it was intended by Hollywood but it won't be anything near what J.R.R. Tolkien intended. I just hope he keeps his slimy ass hands off of "The Silmarillion".

I read those books in Jr High and they've always been some of my favorites. I just wish they would have done the Hobbit first
I still have the set somewhere in the garage.

I seen all of the LOTR and liked them (Not favorite by any means but liked them)

I won't lie, I haven't read any of them. I won't argue either that I do bet the books are much much better then what HollyCrap is spewing out.
