T56's... Does year matter on blocker rings?
Sorry for posting in this section but I wanted to ask quickly on my phone. I've been searching and want a definite answer and you guys I trust the most. So....
T56 (M6's)... For ATF. A lot use amsoil, some
Mobile, some basic dex III, some Penn, etc.
I wanna know If the claims saying that 2002+ or 01+ t56's came with carbon (or carbon lined) blocker rings instead of the paper ones. Preferably someone that's had one apart and saw themselves. I was curious as to if I should use advance auto/castrol dex III or mobile 1 synthetic ATF.
It's a terrible debate and I don't wanna start a war. Simply if I most likely have carbon or paper rings.
I have an '02 WS6 made in June.

I have built a few t-56's and out of the ones i had apart the only ones that had upgraded blocker rings were those that have been built. If you are curious due to which fluid to use i would say from my experience to stay away from synthetic.
