Loudmouth/Borla owners come in
Well I've looked around on LS1sounds.com and I just can't quite get the sound that I want to hear from them. I want to be loud, but sounds nice at the same time. There used to be a White Trans Am around here with Borla and SLP off road Y-pipe. Sounded bad ass, it I could hear it again, I'm sure it would make up my mind, but I think he sold it.
So anyway, what I plan to do is exhaust, headers and/or off road Y-pipe. So if anyone has those mods and has a sound clip of your car please post it. The ones on LS1sounds.com have too many mods (cam mostly) which will change the sound of the car and obviously I would want it, but I don't plan on doing a cam. So if you have anywhere to direct me, that would be appreciated!

My life is a- Ben Stiller movie.
the car being filmed is mine [ignore the first race, TCS got me], i have a cat back and borla system, 2000 ws.6. I've gotten a LOT of compliments on this sound especially in the 3k+ RPM range.

If ur adding headers you might wanna avoid the loudmouth. People say it becomes unbearably loud with tons of drone. But if ur willing to take the risk go for it. Stock, it sounds MEEAAN!!! nice and throaty and LOOOUUUD AT WOT. Deffinalty scare away some ricers and make their heads turn. I know the borla is an adjustable system.

My 1st catback was a Borla, with a Borla ORY, and headers it's too raspy, I changed it out for a LM, it sounded awesome until I installed the cam then it was way too loud.I mean I could be heard 5 miles away if I was going through the gears, it was nice for awhile but when you are in the car more the an hr. and you can't hardly hear after you get out for almost 5 hrs. later it's to loud.I replaced it with a 4" Mufflex w/ a Spin Tech Muffler and like it alot. It's still loud when you get on it and it's pretty much quiet at idle.Or you could get the GMMG, that would be my next to get, or you could go with a 3' Mufflex and put a electric cut out in it.....

Yeah a friend of mine had the LM with Longtubes and it was loud on his 98 TA, but I liked it. He put cats on it and then it was quiet to me. Another has a 97 camaro, LM, shorty headers and no cats. Its loud as hell. I like that also. I think I will be going with LM for now, maybe switch up or something later. I was driving around yesterday with the tops off and right now the car has flowmaster(it came with it) and it was too quiet. So I think I'm just gonna go for the LM. If anyone else has any other clips or advice chime in!

im not the biggest fan of the loudmouth it sounds good but im all about corsa. corsa alone sounds mean but u add longtubes that scares everything away. jegs sells it the cheapest (thats if u dont know any one at a dealership that sells it) its very expensive but i think its the best.
