1000RWHP with F1R Procharger Possible?
So i recently purchased a 427LSX block all set up for boost, low compression, dragonslayer crank, arp etc. What my ultimate goal is, is to have this 427 push as close to 1000RWHP as possible while still retaining the AC. Now, realistically, HP numbers don't mean much, so i would like to obtain a low 9s pass possibly into the 8s range if possible. Would this be attainable with the F1R?
The suspension is 100% complete, waiting on the SC and i will do the 9bolt at the same time and the TD exhaust.
Tranny will be the last thing done.
Considering all factors, im looking for a low 9s high 8s car that could be "streetable" with ac and drive as close to a DD as possible.... Can it be done?
Thank you!

To better help answer my question, here a list of parts i will either get or have already:

4.127" Weisco Pistons Custom (For low CR)
Callies Compstar 6.125" I-Beam CR
Callies Dragonslayer Crankshaft
PRC LS7 285cc CNC Ported 400+CFM Cylinder Heads 2.250"/1.610" Valves
TR 227/239 .614/.621 115 LSA

I figure from this you can get an idea what im going to be working with. Like i said before, suspension is 100% completed, driveshaft also with a stick set of MT Drags.
If i am missing anything or should modify my list please let me know!

I wouldn't say it's "necessary".......but, by being able to add more air to the right air bag than to the left one, you could hook better. As for the shocks, I'd go with Koni's.
I assume you already have a cage in the car.
Line lock?
Automatic transmission? Trans Brake? Manual transmission? Better clutch?
I'm just stating some obvious stuff you've probably done already.

I have an 8pt wolfe craft cage ready for the car...
Line lock is already installed... I believe its a hurst one...
M6 tranny which is going to get viper overhaul once the motor is in...
Clutch is a Mcleod Street Twin with adj Master & Slave
Going to either go with Baer Extreme+ 6 piston brakes for front and same but 4 piston for the rear... Either that or the Wilwood 6 front 4 rear...Baer is much more expensive but didnt do any research to see which one was better.

Collectors Edition Yellow- 2002 Pontiac Trans AM WS6
Just got off the phone with Bob @ Brute and he has an F1R kit available for the 1998-2002 F-body with a 1300hp front mount intercooler with all the brackets and hookups w/ a 12rib setup for $8XXX.xx Considering all that comes with the kit i think the price is very good. I would post the site but dont think hes a sponser on the site so if anyone wants it PM me.
This is what comes in the kit:
ProCharger F-1R
Base HP Range of NA Engine: 375-550 HP
Maximum Supercharged HP Rating: 1,300 HP
Maximum Airflow: 2,000 cfm
Maximum Boost: 38 psi
Inlet Diameterw: 4 inches
Outlet Diameter: 3 inches
Maximum Impeller RPM: 68,000
Internal Step-up Ratio: 5.40:1
Self-Contained Oiling: Yes
Reverse Rotation Available: Yes
Polished finish for intake plenum
Substitute Truck Inlet and Larger Air Filter
1GJ115-IC LS1 F-Body 1300HP Race intercooler upgrade kit
ATI 3FASS-008 Race Valve - Open with steel flange
Aster auto spring loaded tensioner bracker w/ water pump
All piping/brackets included.
He says that the 4" inlet for the F-1R will fit with no problem... The larger front mount will also fit with no problem but has brackets to have it slightly angled upward to allow the front bumper to fit without modifications. The Aster bracket is so that the belt on the F-1R has more then 85% wrap (on 12rib) to guarentee no belt slip.Last edited by NeeD4SpeeD; 10-07-2011 at 10:02 AM.

Being I have that same FMIC I would suggest maybe working with an installer on getting a "custom" intercooler with custom piping. It might be cheaper for you. You will need a custom fabricated intake to tuck up your air filter out of harms way using that FMIC from Procharger. At least I did with the D1SC. I personally would not buy that truck plastic inlet/intake and would just get one fab'd from aluminum.
I would also suggest looking into the "normally closed" race valve. I don't know if there is a limit on boost with them, but I have that same race valve you list above and it is EXTREMELY loud. The air discharge almost drowns out my exhaust at cruising speeds and I have Kooks LT's/ORY/LMII. It will sound like a jet engine coming down the street.
Scatter shields - not too many manufacturers on those. From what I remember, McLeod sold the best one as far as fitment for our cars. I'm pretty sure it bolts to the undercarriage.
I also have the Aster bracket. It's a nice looking piece
Here's my thread to give you some ideas, references, and plenty of pics of things

Yea, i don't think i want it that loud... Bad enough the F1R sounds like a F22 jet with afterburners on i don't need to add to the noise levels lol...
I'll look into the closed one to see how much boost can be run through it and what the limitations are.
I looked into your thread and def gives me some nice ideas lol... Going to read the rest and im sure ill have something to add and questions...Trick is to get all of this to work right with minimal aggrivation as possible!
I saw the McLeod scatter shield, reasonable price, think i might just go pick it up. If there workmanship is anything thing like the street twin clutch i have from them the scatter shield should be well made and fit well too.
The intercooler i want to get is custom and has customs brackets made specifically for the WS6 and also is rated to 1300HP so i think that should be ok for the build i am doing. Fit is decent, i will have to have piping fabed up but i'll deal with that at the shop they have the equpiment to do all of that.

Maybe some meth?

I'm running AlkyControl's methanol injection system. It's a great set-up. Frost recommended it and actually stated that he recommends running meth on ALL FI cars. It definitely helps.
