3600 or 4000 with spray?
Just wondering what would be a better route to go with for spray? I plan on spraying 125-150 shot. I currently have a vig 3200. I want to step up to more cam. I may also step up to a bigger cam which is why i also am considering the 4k stall. Just wondering anybody experiences with the SS4000 or SS3600 or the circle D 4/5C with spray?
I will hardly ever spray it. It will be mainly more NA most of the time. But wondering once i do spray it, which would be better?

Would take 2 completely different converters to get the most out of each combination.
There is no easy answer for what you want to do. Conventional thinking says you'll want a tighter converter if you are spraying it, because the added torque hit (which is much higher than your 100-150hp shot you are thinking of) will blow right through a converter that is loose and setup more for a naturally aspirated engine.
You'll also want a billet converter with balloon plates for a nitrous hit.
So it's damned if you do, damned if you don't.
If you really want to spray it,,,,I'd stay on the tight side for a converter and just live with "not so great" naturally aspirated engine performance. But the best bet would be to consult with the cam and converter manufactures and tell them your goals, and have the cam and the converter custom made rather than buying "off the shelf" parts. That will at least give you a better shot at having a decent combo for both situations.

Thanks firebird. Well the car is mainly just a fun, little street car. So i mean i have even considered just keeping my vigilante 3200. But of course we all want more..lol.
I would like to step up to a 4k stall. But then i doubt i could even hook with a 4k stall on the street.

I love it ! I have a 3.73 gear and a F13 cam in my car and it drives like a dream around town. Now it's not my daily driver ,but if I had to drive it everyday , I would. Now if you are planning to spray your ride ,keep what you have and it should be fine. The SS4000 is a NA stall from what I've read on different forums.
