    Stock Monsoon Amp

So everything used to sound awesome in the car for stock. today randomly my amp wont turn out. so the two front and two hatch speakers are only working with a tiny bit of sound coming out of the two subs where the rear seats are..........is there some fuse or something where the amp is for it to have shut off randomly? how can i test to see if its dead or not??? thanks any help is appreciated

ya front and rears are great headunit is orignal its weird cause its never had any problems at all and its not like i cranked it and it blew it just stopped having bass. so only those two dont work. well they are on but barely so it makes me feel like the amp is off but i dont know how to test if its that or not besides just buy a new one.

check the speakers themselves...they always crap out...i know it seems too coincidental that they both stop working at the same time, but check em out..

wiggle the plug at the amp, pull the plug and check for corrosion. then pull the stereo and check the connections. If you can get a toner, you can check the wire for breaks. the harness runs under the carpet and under the seatbelt bolt on the pass side. then it goes up the pass back seat plastic panel. maybe there is a loose ground. you could also try a plug and play with a new amp.

if youve never personally pulled the factory radio out, i'd pull it out and see if a previous owner had cut the factory harness and put it back together when he sold it...that is, assuming you arent the origional owner...

Welll took the amp out cant be that because when i unplug the amp itself it shuts off the rear speakers so it must control more than the subs.....so i also wiggled the wires around all over and nothing..maybe a channel on the cd player (head unit) is bad itself????
