Light Up The Rear Bird

I've been looking and loooking aanndd loooooking is there a way or a part that can be ordered so that the rear Trans Am and bird will light up. All the mods I come across are all blacking it out or for the camaro. I have a hard time excepting the fact this this has not been done before and nobody out there has made a replacement part. Maybe I'll buy an old center panel and try to do it myself.

You'd have to get a clear panel for that cos the stock piece is solid black ; like they do with the license plate cover. Unless you try cutting it out and ... I really didn't think this through, but you get the point...

It has been done, but not mass produced by anyone yet.
Look over on LS1Tech.com, there a couple threads that explain how people have done it.
As mentioned, it;ll be a lot of work, becuase you'll have to completely remove the existing black portion & replace with a curved piece of clear, then progress from there.
Way too labor intensive, ...
InfiniteReality is a username of someone who did it once, & there's a thread with photos over there.

i bet it could easily be done with a clear panel and some LED's...pick your color LED and then black out the panel leaving only the outline of the firebird...sounds easy right? lol

Thanks that's exactly what I'm looking for. I may try and simplify it by not using LEDs. I can't believe there is no mod for this. It has always bugged me that the a defining characteristic like that isn't accented on the car. I'm going to plan on doing two just in case I fuck one up.
