    Stall Question

I am planning on getting a Yank Super Stock 4000 stall and I was wondering if anyone has it and how it drives compared to stock? Keep in mind this is going into a DD. Also, what other things should I get to install with my stall? I figured at the minimum I need a Transmission Cooler but is there anything else? Help would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance!

A tranny cooler is a MUST!!!

Now for the ss 4k that is the same converter that I have. In my eyes its a little much for a d/d. I would not want to drive my car on a daily basis though.

What mods do you plan on doing?

Do you think you will be camming the car?

The transmission should be beefed up some, with a Beast Sunshell, and a cooler added. The stock rear won't last long either... I blew my stock rear 3x with a 3600 stall, then went with a 4600 stall, blew it on the first launch. Moser 12 bolt now.

I currently have full exhaust and as far as what I plan on doing I am trying to decide between replacing the motor with a ls3 or something similar or just doing h/c/i with the current motor. Eventually, the car will not be a DD but for now it has to be.

Where can I get the Beast Sunshell, I was going to get a B&M 24k transmission cooler. I don't really race my car at the moment I take it pretty gentle for the most part but I know the rear won't last long so I do plan on getting a new one. Is there anything else I should look into?

The beast sunshell is a HD clutch basket.

But, you need a transmission shop to install it.

Just curious, why would I need a transmission shop to install it?

Well I DD mine but don't drive all that much. I have had the car 3 years and have only put 5k miles on it. Basically I just drive it to work and school. So is a 4000 stall tolerable considering the amount I drive.

You don't if you know how to tear apart a transmission. IMO they aren't the best tranny to learn on but if you feel confident more power to you. I plan on a 3600-4000 stall on mine but I don't DD it.
