Wanted: Low priced 1998 and above TA or Camaro

I know it's early, but around late February (income taxes should be in my account at that time), I'm gonna be in the market for an LS1. I don't want a mint one or one with low miles. I can't afford to spend that much. Looking to spend in the area of $3,000ish, or if more I can give a down payment and pick it up when complete. I am in NYC.

All I ask is that it must be stick. And runs.

When I was looking for mine. My price range $4000 to $6000 It was very hard to find it.

I hear ya. I can do more than my asking price if necessary, but don't wanna go over much. Looking for a 165,000+ mile car with dents if possible, or even in need of a a clutch to bring the price down.

if it needs a clutch why not just spend a little extra and have it ready to go?
i would just save up 2-3k more and get a decnt one and be done with it.

If you hold out, you'll find a car for that price. I picked up a 2000 Z from this site for 2K that was hit from behind...$1000 later at the body shop and I have a mint 2000 Z. Someone just sold a nice NBM 6 speed Formula for $3500. The cars are out there, you just need to be the first to see them and jump on them with cash in hand. Just realized your in Staten Island (so am I)....if I see or hear anything, I'll shoot you a PM.

im selling my 2002 z28 it has 63xxx miles on it im asking between 7 and 8 grand for it and im right over the bridge from you. if ur interested let me know it already has some mods on it

i got this 1999 ta for $2,900 ls1 v8 runs good needs clutch was this a good deal it has 150,000 miles on it one wind does:nt roll down needs switch

+1 he's right.
You should spend a little more and the end get a better car.
I did the same with my two ls1 cars. I fixed em at the end what I spent was a lot more than what I could spend getting a car ready To go

Thanks, but that's a bit too high for me. I can spend a bit more than 3k, but not double that.

In that case you could just get a car that needs some work.
What u doin right now and fix it the time.
I had to do the same
