Borg warner T-56 Power Handling
im running a stock 93 trans am with a six speed borg warner t56. my goal is to have about 450-470 horse in mods can my transmission handle it

Black, Blue- 07 TBSS, 07 GSXR1000
Your going to have your shift forks upgraded and your synchronizers upgraded. If not you will tear the transmission out.

that makes sence but everything else will be ok like the gears and would my rearend be able to handle it

the 10 bolt is weak and will blow itself away with just a set of slicks

Your T56 was rated at 350-ft-lb if it is the 3.36 low gear ratio unit and 400 ft-lb if it is the 2.97 low gear unit. It will need the iron 3/4 fork and a synchronizer upgrade to be more"modern" If you don't bet the xxx out of it, you will be ok trans -wise.
