My TA is only at around 3600rpms when cruising 80mph. I can't even cruise at 80mph in the summer time or the car will get too warm. LOL! I have to keep it at around 65-70mph. I really need to bump down to a 3.08 gear and see what it does for the cruising habits of the car.

4.30's with a T-56 is ridiculous.

I have 4.56's in my Impala and hate them. 1st, 2nd, and 3rd are useless, I can start from a dead stop in 5th gear.

As soon as I can afford it I'm going to a 4.11. I had 3.73's in it when I first swapped to the T-56 and I couldn't use 6th gear unless I was well over 80 mph or it would lug the car.

I realize that the F body is considerably lighter than the Impala which in my mind would exacerbate the gearing situation so take it for what it's worth.

It is nice being able to break the tires loose at 30 mph in a 4000# car.

hold first up to 60mph, still get 28-30mpgs on the highway!!!

If we use stock size tires (25.66 according to the gearing calculator) at 82mph you would be at approximately 2,300rpm in 6th

I was wondering about that too. 60 mph in first gear with 4.10s doesnt seem right at all.
