Well i finally did and got ride of the 4x4 lol my baby is sitting on Vogtland springs with a 1.2" drop. Not slamed but enough to make it look sweet. Still got the rear isolators in.

for now. the shocks were a byproduct of getting the springs. $100 for the springs and two struts isnt too bad. PLan on getting bilsteins later.

Looks good, just wondering what size wheels those are. They would look good powder coated black on that car IMO. Good job knocking out the rotor swap while you were at it. Those decarbons are in way better shape thn mine.

Thanks, the decarbons were even cleaner than the ones that were on my car and mine were in pretty decent shape still.
The rims are 17"x9.5" AT Italias. I thought about making them black but ive kinda grown to the silver. Wish i could find them in 18's. The springs install was actually the side project while i was doing the brakes lol Im in the process of doing a C5 upgrade (details on another thread) and was gonna do the fronts as well BUT the rotors are still not here. Still waiting. still waiting on Adj PH and LCA relo brackets too. At least i know most of all the pieces i need to mess with are not rusted solid so the relocation brakets will be a breeze and the adj PH will be replacing an already upgraded part, going from a UMI non adj to a UMI adj, so the bolts will be easy to remove.Last edited by JoshuaGrooms83; 11-23-2010 at 10:29 AM.

lol i know right
Decarbons are what came from the factory. Almost everyone of us started out on these. they are ok, for factory, but there are better ones out there. For a stock car that is babied, no problem. for a car that see the strip every so often, they manage. for a car that see abuse from their own every chance they get... they get tired fast Im going to bilsteins as soon as i can

They are easy, especialy if the springs are alreayd on the sturts lol but if they arnt, the fronts will take some effort but not the hardest thing in the world. just becare full taking the top nut off and be caerful with your swaybar links. they can break easy. THe rears are super easy. Just pop the shocks off one at a time and man handle the spring out.
as for the hood, i kinda like my hood black. i do plan on sprucing it up a bitLast edited by JoshuaGrooms83; 12-08-2010 at 11:02 AM.

Light Pewter Metallic- 2K Camaro Z28
I didn't think you could pass Germany's inps w/ lowered car, No?
For the amount of money you're saving for bilsteins, save some more for Konis. Bilsteins aren't designed for lowered springs.

You can as long as the car isnt dragin on the ground lol. And the shocks are in good shape. As for the shock, im gonna try the SLP bilstien shocks. they are rumored to handle lowering springs better, and are firmer.
