yes, kinda like a 4 wheeler on steroids. For guys like me that can't ride anymore without training wheels due to my disability it is a great bike. Wife won't let me get one. Threaten Divorce if I tried because my Dad has gotten hit 2 last year.

For what it is, the spyder is a good machine. It handles better and safer than a traditional trike, carries more stuff, and is easy to learn. They even have a semi-auto for those who can't or don't want the clutch. I've seen quite a few customized nicely and the power can be tweaked a bit but only within limits.
Personally, I'll stick with 2 wheels.

they don't make sense in CA - no protection like on a bike but too wide to split lanes

Nothing makes sense in CA, its a jacked up state full of useless people. Now on the can-am I think they have there place for people who want to feel like they are on a bike but either have a disability or lack balance. They are too big to ride side by side in a lane which I enjoy quite alot. Also i ride a sport bike and I have more fun leaning it over than I ever have going fast in a straight lien so the can am would be useless to me. I would rather have a fast car at that point.
