Duration has much more to do with PTV than lift since max lift occurs near BDC. The biggest you can fit w/o flycutting is somethin like a Trex, Polluter, MS4 etc.... Those cams suck though if you don't have a high stall (A4) and gear......
Even those cams you need to measure PTV and are under the recommended .080 intake and .100 exhaust minimums...
OP what is the duration, LSA and advance (or installed ICL) on your cam.....Last edited by SOMbitch; 10-19-2010 at 01:44 PM.

I have a '98 w/ a .621 lift cam, daily driver ... I have 243 heads with the lighter stock valves with stock pistons ... no problems. but as Luos said ... MEASURE before buying a set of valves and pistons is the least of your worries

Don't the stock rockers go into bind or lock after .625 lift. I thought I saw that somewhere.

So how much lift can you run on stock rockers. I know there is a limit because of the way they are designed. They will only rotate so far and then they hit the flat.
