anti-freeze
I just noticed today that my car has been having a sweet smell exactly like anti-freeze after i drive it. I first noticed it earlier, but i could have smelled it inside my car. What can it be? I opened my hood and found nothing visually wrong with it.

Sure sounds like a heater core, can you smell it thru the vents, when you turn the heat on (don't have to blast air thru, use low or low 2 on the fan speed)? Don't turn on the AC, just vent.

I've only done one on a 3rd gen, it wasn't the worst one I've ever done. But, never in a 4th gen, so I don't know. Wonder what the labor time is, that'd be a good indication.

I have bypassed a few in other GM cats I had and actually replaced one. None of them were fun I'll take a busted radiator over one anytime.

Several possible sources. Nice thing about anti-freeze is that it generally leaves behind easily discernible evidence of where it is leaking from. Take a flashlight and shine it up to where the heater hoses attach at the firewall, scope out your water pump and check your passenger footwell real good. Then scan all the hose connections underhood and look at your pressure cap and overflow connections, your air bleeds and throttle body too.
