paint color codes
Im wanting to get custom color caliper paint to match the color of my car.....I've got an 02 WS the deep dark blue. Does anyone know where or if I can get custom colors to match the color of the factory color that I have for my calipers. And what number code on the side of the door tag or is it in the VIN #.

Navy Blue Metallic- 98 T/A, 00 FBVert, 78T/A
Correct. It F'ing sucks too.
I just painted my LS6 intake and this was the only color that came close to our NBM color. I used this below. It reads off the label:
Dupli-color Perfect Match (for GM) BGM0393 Dark Blue Met (28 WA8264) Replaces DSGM393/T164
It may not look like it in this pic off my cell because of the sun light, but I tell you it matches very well.

I have painted a few NBM f body lip kits and other repairs. Go to a dupont or if you can't fund one a PPG retailer works just as good but more expensive and the quality Ian't any better. Take your car since there are different variations of the same paint code. For example there are over 6 variations of the arctic white color code. If you take your car you can get a more exact match and most stores can reduce the paint and put it in a spray can for you if you don't have a compressor and just get a rattle can clearcoat to to over it for protection when your using wheel cleaner sprays like black magic or eagle. Get the best match everytime doing it like this. I don't drive customers cars I usually just take a mirror or case cap depending on what the easiest part to remove is. In f bodies it's a mirror or headlight covers come off easy.
Good luck.1998 Trans Am 85k miles.
