Monsoon System

Is it just me or is the monsoon system less to be desired? It seems like for me the system can't handle high volumes and can't handle bass. My moms '01 grand prix gt sounds better and handles the bass better. Even my dd '00 galant es handles the bass better than my monsoon system! Is it just the monsoon system or is it just me or does it sound like there is something wrong with it?

It's just not a very well designed "upgrade". Most bose stereos, or any more expensive ones for that matter come with a subwoofer, my old Infiniti actually came stock with a sub in each door and one on the rear deck. The Monsoon has two little paper speakers trying to do the same job as a woofer, and it's not going to happen. I upgraded from the crappy paper speakers the day I bought my car, handles bass a little better, but certainly doesn't hit hard or anything.

are those the speakers in the hatch or rear seats? Either way I have to replace them because i hate that i enjoy the radio better in my galant than i do in my ta!

The monsoontobebroken, is a junk system imho.. I had an 16-18 year old Sony system with 2 dash and two deck speakers in my 92 z34 that blew the doors off my Monsoontobebroken.. If you want it to sound good throw it off a wall, and then sing to yourself...

Yeah mine came with a blown speaker. I have to keep the bass dialed down even on talk radio... The Mach system in my Mustang is better by comparison. Hey finally something that the Mustang is better at!

As far as I'm concerned, they should not have even included a "Bass" knob because it's useless..

exactly! good so it just not me...mine CANNOT BE any higher then in the middle but mostly like others have said it down real low!
