tire sizes for Z06 rims

So I have a set of Z06 rims and they're 17x8.5 front and 18x9.5 back. The front tire size was a 245/40/17 and I need to know if a 235/30/17 will fit the front. A buddy of mine is gonna give them to me for free if they'll fit.

I can't find a company that even makes tires in that size to get any actual dimensions.
I would think they would fit but will be a extremly low profile and look ride small on the rime. I would dodge any pothole or small objects in the road or your probably damage a rim.
Maybe someone who knows a company that makes them can telll you if they'll fit or try calling a local tire shop like discount tire or one of those places. They usually won't mount them if they won't fit. I had 204/40r17's on a 17x8 wheel and it was on a Celica GT so i think those should fit the wheel but you won't have much between you and the road.
