Calling out all OEM Speedline Z06 wheel guys!!

I posted in a seperate thread but figured this needs its own

As title states, I have OEM Z06 wheels (17X9.5 and 18X10.5) I know the rears are 58mm offset, what did you need to do to make them fit. I have searched and searched and found tons of misleading information. I heard a 7/16th spacer with a 315 will fit no problem with no pounding or rolling of the lip. Then I heard 1/4 will fit but will hit the lip with a 295

I will be running a 555r 305 tire and they run small but would like a answer. I can get 1/2 inch spacer from a mod for a good price but don't want to rub. I am getting ARP studs regardless just in case

Please help!!!!

I got about 2 hours of net searching for a answer and got none

Might just take the bump stop off and go from there

When I find the damn solution, I'm going to post it all over the net

I ran those same size Z06 wheels before I had the CCWs. I had 275s in front and 295s in the rear. I didn't need any spacer, nor would I use a spacer. I am glad you are at least getting hardened ARP studs, but still would not ever use a spacer.

For Y2K!! So you would rather hammer in the wheel well? I know spacers put stress on the studs, thats why I was going to go hardened but if I should just pound and re-paint/coat my wheel well then I mise well do that. I just don't like the look of a pounded up wheel well (even if you don't see it with the tire on) I dry fitted the wheels and I am for sure hitting the bump stop even without a tire.

Hmmmm, I don't want to have to hammer either. I didn't have to do any hammering with my Z06 wheels, no rubbing at all. I had to hammer one tiny spot on both sides for the CCWs, but I mean just minimal.

I fitted just the driver side and it hit the bump stop with about a 1/4 inch to go. I don't know if tires will rub because I don't have them yet

Spacer or no spacer, I'm upgrading my brakes and ARP studs so......maybe I'll try a real small spacer

Maybe I'll get away with just pounding the bump stop over about 1/4 of a inch and they won't rub

Maybe I'll sucker Cutlass into doing it for a 12 pack since he lives about 30 minutes away

I get so much counter bullshit stuff off other sites. I'm thinking I'll go ahead and get 1/8 and 1/4 inch spacers and try them out. LS1tech said the way you jack your car up could contribute to it being off, I jacked by my subframes

I am thinking of selling this shit box and going with a car that can fit big tires without so much hassle like a Z06 (Yeah right, just ranting there

) I am lost, I wish I lived in a nice place that had car shops unlike this dump state. Hopefully Cutlass can help out when I get ahold of him.

ok when you jack the car up and let the rear end hang down, the swinging arc of the panhard bar will pull the rearend end over towards the passenger side of the vehicle(bringing the driverside rim closer to the bumpstop)...how much I'm not sure.
So if you try to put the rear end on a couple jack stands, I think you'll find the rim is no where near the bumpstop.
Is your car lowered? Are your panhard bar and lower control arms adjustable?

Oh and I forgot to mention, I went out to the garage and looked at my car.With the wheels on the ground the rearend is off center towards the driverside by 1/2" or so. So in my case a bigger wheel and tire combo would have less clearance to the bumpstop on the passenger side. An adjustable panhard bar would fix that.
Also it looks like an 1/8" to maybe a 1/4" can be ground off the bumpstop and its mount, without much problem, for more clearance if needed

It is a adj panhard but I never fucked with it out the box. I am also stock height. I could try the jack stand angle and check that way. Maybe it will help

I'm running 18x10.5 stock Z06 speedlines all the way around my car with 315 Hoosier A6's. The rear has a 5/16 spacer with longer studs, the fronts have 1/4 spacers. I did beat in the fenders a long time ago, but I don't think the new combo would rub as I have it set up now. I also have an adjustable PHR bar to center the rear. My car is a 2000 WS6, the rear fenders may have more "flare" than a camaro, but I'm not 100% sure.
