new reason to hate china

well my g/f has been in china for 2 weeks now...she'll be returning home on tuesday next week...finally.

at any rate. before she went she got a blackberry tour so that she could call and text from china. she let me know that she'd be doing more texting than calling since international calls cost $2.50/minute and texts only 50cents each.

so over 2 weeks i think i've talked to her 3 times and gotten about 3 texts. ya see...the chinese are completely fucking insane and xenophobic. they've locked text messaging while she's been over there so she can't text now. and forget e-mail. unless you are chinese you can't get online unless you go through the chinese government for a temporary limited access internet permit.

so...this sucks. i'm bored. it's raining.

Verizon and AT&T is a company, China is a country... I think if a company wants to be allowed to work in a country, they will do as they are told. Besides, the contract was sighned state side I am sure...

i can't call her. technically while she is over there she is in class. she got a spot on an art history international studies trip so they are going around to different cultural museums, art museums, historical sites, archeological excavation sites, etc. not knowing her schedule i can't call her without risking disturbing her while she is engaged in a class related activity.
