if it's small enough you can put it under one of the rear side mouldings, either on the spare tire side or on the same side as the amp. If any wires need to cross the car, right across the back dash under that carpet works great. Mine was too big so it's actually mounted right in front of the spare tire, between it and the moulding, just cut me a piece of mdf that fits in there so good it can't move around to mount it to

White Rascal,
I had to take a moment to tell you that I really love your installation work.
That is as clean as it comes. Impressive!
I came up with the same solution for my '99 SS back five years ago. I
only put a 12 disk changer and subwoofer amp on the trunk wall. A
4 channel amp, which powers the rest, is behind the spare tire. Lots of
work but worth it.

Thanks Sam. Glad you like it. The great thing about it is that it's so DIY friendly. You don't even have to do any custom fiberglass work. The entire rack was made with plywood and carpet. The only tools I needed were a jigsaw, a drill and a few hand tools.

smooth man, I like that, we did an installation very similar to that on my friend's car (it wasn't quite as nice). I wanted mine all hidden

Beautiful White rascal...I haven't seen your system till now. Is that subthump or your own variation?! One of these days I'll just call mine finished and take some pictures. I keep changing things and experimenting. My car is like an audio laboratory. Next stop another RF Power series amp and another sub and stealthbox for the passenger side. I was gonna get the JVC AVX1 but now I see they just came out with the AVX2 that has a bigger screen...decisions!!! Anyway, very nice install and nice choice with the Alpine stuff. Always a crowd pleaser!!

Thanks! The amp rack is my own design. Steve at SubThump used it as a template for the racks he sells on his site. The enclosures I used are his though.

I didn't go "stealth" with the install....Mine is mounted on the gas tank hump, not stealth, but it looks clean
