Rack & Pinion
Ok folks, thanks for the kind words of welcome. I've got an insane schedule so checking in is somewhat sporadic. I've got the 02 SS and it's been through the mill. One of the minor and major things that need fixed is the left side return line on the rack & pinion. GM says they don't make one of the two return lines any longer. Go figure. Anyone have this difficulty. This thing handles like a hay wagon without the power steering. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Try your local auto parts store (Advance, Autozone, Napa), they should have the lines in stock.

Rack Line
WOW.....that’s too bad that GM does not make it anymore. I would go down to your local auto parts store and see if you can find a line you can have bent to fit the shape of the GM line. I know most places sell straight pieces of line in different sizes. You just need to get one long enough and then bend it to the right fit. Auto parts stores also sell aluminum line bender tools to bend trans lines and other lines such as this with. This might be an option to look into. You can try some online parts sites as well. Hope this helps.

It's a return line. After it leves the rack the pressure drops. You can cut the hard line and have the end flared and replace the hose and use a regular clamp. no need for a special order custom hose. Only on the high pressure side would you need that.
