strange squeel when turning
When I turn sometimes my car makes this strange squeal sound and is then followed by a clunk. It doesn't do it all the time though or on all sharp turns, it seems random. Anyone know what could cause this?

Does it sound like its coming from the back?
Its probably rear end bearings and/or a pinion bearing.
If your car is anywhere over 80,000+ miles. Its a good idea to have someone go through the rear end. You will probably need atleast 1 new shaft. I've had my mechanic limp a shaft along and just move where the bearing rests a little and its lasted quite a while, so thats another option.
I do a lot to the car myself but I don't mess with taking the rear end apart, no fun in the garage.

Yeah it sounds like the sound is coming from the rear. How much did that cost you to replace the rear end and pinion bearings?

This might be the 'Rusty Screw' noise. The GM LSD additive fixes it. Search Torsen Rusty Screw here and on Google for more info to see if your symtoms match that noise

This one might be the same. I'm not sure so I'm just gonna recommend the GM LSD additive.

OK thanks. I don't know how to change the rear axle oil how do I do that or where to add the additive for that matter. Is there a guide somewhere that would tell me?

You can drain it by removing the cover. And fill it through a plugged hole on the passenger side of the pumpkin. Climb under there and look, you'll see what I'm talkin about
