If you need proof to clean your engine bay..
This is for those that have had doubts about using "Simple Green" to clean your engine bay. For a while I've been somewhat uneasy about cleaning my engine bay with water and "Simple Green". I've know that it needed it, but I didn't want to screw it up and break more crap by accident. Last month I posted about my power steering pump leak and showed how bad that damn o-ring made a mess of my engine bay. Well this weekend I finally jumped in and did it.
Some comparison pics:

I know not as clean as some of the guys here, but I just knocked off 11 yrs of crap and it's a start. I realized I need some old cheap tooth brushes to get some of the tough spots.

BULLS***!!! You did one helluva job man. Looks great. I have heard folks say not to get the Simple Green on your paint though.

I know simple green is good but honestly most any degreaser will do the job, I use Purple Power, might be a lil cheaper, works just as good too, good start. Now that its clean, buy a can of CD-2 and spay it dowen, makes it look like new.

Todd

The paint that is missing on the drivers side of the bay is from replacing the Master and Slave Cylinders. My "helper" didn't wipe the fluid off and let it pool there while I was bleeding the clutch from underneath. When I saw it I tried to clean it, but was too late.
