Road trips
i thought it might be fun to start a thread with pics from road trips we take with our cars.
last tuesday i went to wismar, a town at the baltic sea, had a business meeting there. 90 minute drive, beautiful weather. little traffic, 110mph on cruise control. got bored, took some pics.
first time i went there, the city is unesco world cultural heritage. a lot of buildings from 1400 or earlier, stunning.

Great idea. It'll be a few weeks before I can even think about getting our car out. Would like to get over your way some day -- I was born just outside Bitburg AFB and grew up watching my parents' slide shows from the years my father was stationed there. Beautiful country!

Pecha's pics bring back memories -- honeymooned in Monterey back in '99 and we took a daylong drive down the coastal highway. Incredible scenery!
Pics from our spring trip last year, posted in the Eastern Members section: http://www.ls1.com/forums/showthread.php?t=111284

then along the mediterranian coast through monaco/ monte carlo into france.
that last pic was taken from our hotel room in nice.

our hotel was from the 17th century, when the town was built by a french king who wanted a harbour...

paris...
oscar wilde's grave, the little dots are kisses, lipstick!
on the way out we passed the arc de triomphe, circled it three times. driving a camaro through paris is an interesting experiance, scooters and bikes everywhere and the french are driving like crazy.
