Fiberglass Hood with Stock Hood Struts
i just got a new hood and its fiberglass, the stock one was metal are the hood struts too strong for the fiberglass hood?

i installed a Fiberglass hood also and i mounted the Old strut mounts but took the pins out, so i can use it to hold the hood up, i believe they are too strong for constant use.

I have a fiberglass hood and I use the stock hood struts. Like the other guy said I keep them disconnected though. im too cheap to buy replacement struts. I only connect them at shows and in the garage

Stock struts work fine. I have had my Sunoco hood for 5 years now. No issues period....
