traction light / new wheels
o.k, a pal has got a 99 z28 and has just fitted c5 corvette wheels (17" f /18" r) when he goes over 60 the traction light flashes on the dash, we think it mat be a the a.b.s sensing the different wheel sizes? any ideas on how to change the settings on the car.
Diablosport said a predator would change the tire size, but it would be the same for all four wheels and not configured to a staggered option.

What are the tire sizes front and rear? You want the diameter to be very close to not set off the sensors. The 275/40/17 factory size diameter is like 25.8 inches or something so get your front and rear mfg. sizes and compare the specs. for diameter of each.

The tire size difference from front to back definitely sounds like the problem. Subscribed.
The wheel speed sensor measures rotations of the tire to detect speed. Usually by means of a reluctor ring, etc. The larger the tire, the more it has to turn to make one revolution (circumference is larger). Therefore, your ABS wheel sensors are seeing that the back tires are not turning at the same rate as the fronts (computer then thinks you are sliding, etc.) and enables traction control.
