Pewter- 2000 Pontiac Trans Am
another civic story, continued
so i found out his mods, all motor k24block with k20 heads.
and we raced to 60 from a stoplight. off the line he pulled away, and pulled all the way to 60, flashers flashing. he but about a car and a half on me. so wtf, i flew buy with the flashers on, why not.
oh yea, one important detail, i was in a 96 oldsmobile 88, a granny car, really, i bought it from my grandma for a thousand bucks, pretty comfy, thick foam seats, huge trunk, but thats besides the point.
i havnt run the olds at the track, but on the stretch of road where we run at i ran about 18 seconds with 8 or 9 seconds to 60.
when we got back to work he was talking trash that he beat a OLDSMOBILE in a drag race. everyone who has seen the olds just started laughing.
i did kinda lie to him though, i said the ta is only a little faster than the olds, technically it is only a little faster, only 5-6 seconds faster in the quarter, i can hold my breath for that long.

Nice kill.
Ricers are so damn stupid. Why would you waste your money on a Honda lol.
I'm assuming this motor is swapped into the Civic and not a newer Si with a k-series?? From what I understand, you're looking at around $6K just to drop one in an older style Civic. Thats a lot of money for slow, gutless car.

2008 Caliber SRT 4- 1998 Z28/ 1993 Talon awd
Not the best platform money wise. You have to spend alot to make them fast. You might as well start with something fast already.

nah no style in that. you should just pull some shit out of the olds, slap a home depot cai on it and beat him with the resultant 16 second car

he said he also wants to race me in his syclone. ive seen him drive it, no idea of any mods, but i know it has a turbo. if memory serves the syclone was a pretty quick truck. it should be fun.

Syclones have a turbocharged 4.3L V6 that put out 280hp/350tq stock. They are kind of rare, and I've only seen a few of them. However, since they are AWD and A4 transmission, they can easily get into the 13s bone stock. Several of the car review magazines back in the day were able to achieve sub 5 second 0-60 times. In stock form however, they don't trap that high in the 1/4, making their impressive times with the launch. You should be able to get him in a LS1 car if he's mostly stock.
BTW, these are sweet trucks:
