Fresh out of school, Mike Hamming decided it was time to completely revamp his '70 Chevelle. He started by getting rid of the tired 350/350 combo and dropped in a 0.030-inch over big-block with Speed-Pro pistons and stock heads. A 700-R4 tranny transfers the grunt to a 10-bolt posi unit with 3.73:1 cogs out back. Hamming also had the rear trailing arms boxed for strength and added KYB shocks, Moog springs with Energy suspension bushings all around. The Chevelle relies on stainless lines and Wilwood discs up front with drums at the rear to stop in a hurry. If you ever see an A-body tearing down the back roads of Canada; chances are it'll be Mike.
