Power Estimation
Hello. I had some work done to a stock 2002 TA. All the bolts with 1 3/4" edolbrock long tubes. The heads were LPE 2.02's and a 281 high extreme energy comp cam. Drove it for a little while and the piston buggered up on me. I had it dynoed at 480hp and 458 torque and 403hp and 378torque rear wheel. I went to a 383 with the lunanti kit. How much do you think I may have gained by the added displacement. Also what is a rough guess on the quater mile. 6 speed with 4.10 strange and all suspenson up grades. Thank You this is my first post.

Displacement = torque most of the time but cam has a lot to do with that.

Tire?
I assume it got a fresh tune with the new motor as well?
Cam specs would be needed before I would even start to make a guess on the RWHP.

stroker
My suspension consists of umi lca,adj panrod bar and torque arm/off the transmisson. umi subframe connectors, koni adjustable drag shocks in the back. It has an electric exaust cuttout also.
I have had it tuned after the install. The tires are 285 35 18 and 285 35 19 c6 zo6 wheels. My 17 by 9 speed line's are going to be plasma cut to 17 by 11 with m/t slicks. My cam is a Hydraulic roller high rpm street strip compcam.
2200-7200 rpm
0.006 valve timing
112 lobe center angle
intake centerline 110
valve lash HYD EXAUST
Duration 281 283
duration at .050" lift 228 230
valve lift 0.571 0.573
lobe lift 0.336 0.337
open closed
intake 31 btdc 71 abdc
exaust 76 bbdc 28 atdc
valve timing at 0.006"

stroker
Also i believe that my compression is 11:1 and I have a 1.70 ratio. My mechanic had said that I did not have to go any bigger because of my cam.

Id say your high 10s bound but due to your tires i dont picture a good 60 ft unless there drag radials hopefully your not blowing the tires off down the track

Gotcha.
Solid rear, good gears for that set-up.
That cam is a baby for that motor though. Great powerband, I bet it is torquey down low. But upper RPM power is gonna suffer. 383 cubes want that air...and at that duration it isn't getting enough.

What kind of cam do you think would more suit it? Also is it true that cam changes are very easy on ls1's?

Wouldn't say they are VERY easy.
But with those cubes, an MS3/MS4 would be solid. I don't like those cams for a stock cube motor, but in strokers they work nicely.

A buddy with a 383 running a MS4, PRC 5.3's, 90/90 and all bolton's runs 10.9's. He could DD that car if he wanted too....

How would 215cc trickflow heads and a ms4 cam be for this setup? Mr Luos said eariler that displacement increases usually mean more torque, (depending on the cam) how much flywheel power would I be running?. 480hp and 458 torque before getting stroked, so maybe 500hp and 500 torque?
