Midseason Heisman predictions
I know its only midseason, but who would you pick as the Heisman winner right now. Before the season started, the favorites were Bradford, Tebow and McCoy. Bradford barely played this year due to injuries, Tebow and McCoy are having probably their worst seasons stastically in their 4 years. The RB from Bama has had his name thrown around. Who else do you think might be invited to NYC later this year?

rb from bama=Mark Ingram. Tebow is the default Heisman winner,if no one else steps up they will give Tebow no.2

I'm liking Ingram.
I'm biased though because I hate Tebow.

Tebow's numbers are subpar at best so far. I don't think he has solid enough numbers to be given the Heisman by default. He is on pace for 14 TDs, 7 INTs and <2000 yds. Hardly Heisman worthy.

Dion Lewis from Pitt... if he wasn't a freshman he'd be right up there.

My guess would probably be Clausen. I know Barkley is a freshman, but he could be in the running. I don't know it is too early to tell. No one is really running away with it. Bradford is done for the season and Tebow had that concussion which has slowed him a bit. Pryor needs to step up as well if he wants to be in the running. Maybe that running back for Cal? I can't think of his name....

Noel Devine of WVU shuld be up there....Tebow may not even make it to New York, as colleges know how to play him now.
Clausen has to be the favorite just looking at the numbers he's put up against a pretty tough schedule.

i seen stories this morning popping up of considering Mount Cody. i think it would be awesome for a defensive player to get it, if he keeps up the awesome playing i could see it happening if no one else steps up.

Christian Ponder. But because of FSU's record he would never be considered.

Tebow will win it cause Florida is number 1, he loves jesus, parents are missionaries, kid IS tough as nails and plays with concussions etc. He's not good enough a passer to be a QB in the NFL though. Hes PERFECT size for a TE though. Combined with his power, i could easily see him playing that position and who knows if he'd be anything more then an average TE. Hes not gonna have the career in the NFL he did in college ie Brady Quinn, Matt Leinart, Reggie Bush

I could see Clausen getting an invite, has had a good season, but hasn't won a big game. Tebow wasn't playing well even before the concussion. The Cal running back is very good, just hasn't gotten much pub since Cal got blown out a couple times.
Not happening
It would take a fn miracle for a defensive player to win it.
I agree with everything you said, except the part about Tebow having it GIVEN to him. He hasn't done anything to win it this year. I hope to god it isn't GIVEN to him.
