da Saints
I've rooted for these guys for 20something years. Out of those 20something years I can count on 1 hand the times I've had something to look forward to from those guys. It's normally just a shit sandwich year in and year out. We had a few decent years mixed in there. The Saints D of the late 80's with Pat Swilling, Ricky Jackson, Vaughn Johnson, and Sam Mills was fun to watch. They destroyed people and Bobby Hebert and company would score maybe once a game. I remember when our field goal kicker was the leading scorer. I remember the first playoff game they ever went too......and lost. I remember the first wild card game they won....and then lost the following week. I remember Ditka signing on as coach and thinking he was the saviour we needed....and then he quit but not before drafting Ricky "pot smoker" Williams and costing us a shit ton of draft picks.
The only time I've really been excited to be a Saints fan was Peyton's first year and this year. The Saints actually have a pretty well balanced team for the first time in maybe their entire history. I would like to see their D keep stepping up and playing good but I think they're going to do good things this year and if they don't...won't matter because it won't be the first time they've disappointed me.Last edited by 0rion; 10-20-2009 at 05:20 PM.

Drew Brees is a hell of a Qb and one of the best in the whole league. and well yeah lol I hate Reggie Bush and think hes overrated, but hes good for a big play here and there lol

I was at that FIRST EVER Saints' playoff game. The Vikings destroyed us...I think it was 42-3...and it was a HOME GAME!! I love the saints...have been a fan since being a kid in Biloxi.....I saw the Dome Patrol and the Cajun Cannon many a time in the Dome. I'm pretty excited about this year too...but I'm still cautious. And Bush is WAAAAYYYYY over-rated. Gotta be able to go North/South in the NFL if you're ever gonna amount to anything.

The Saints do look pretty good this year. Pierre Thomas and (Mike Bell?) should be the 1-2 punch they need. Bush is definitely over rated. Keep him around for maybe KR or PR duties.

Harvin is a stud. I had my doubts but he's proving me wrong. Vikings have the talent, but I think they'll still blow their wad when it comes down to it.

had to re-bump this one. I was hunting but listened to most of the game on sirius. They pounded the Giants like it was a warm up game. Brees made the Giants secondary his bitch the whole game. They're gonna lose a few games this year but if they stay healthy they're a definite threat. This week at Miami worries me...it's those games you think they should easily win that they end up losing.

I loved how they crushed the Giants
I think this team has really turned around.. Great Coach IMO......
like i said before, if he had stayed with the Cowboys, i wonder how they would of turned out
