Stripper Cars?
How could we go about finding build numbers. Ive seen guys with 1SZ option cars but so far none of them have been as option less as mine. My 2000 z28 has all manual controls with 6 speed trans with cloth, no rear defrost, no t-tops, no cruise control, and no traction control. Car is pewter in color. When I had it dynoed they found out it had a speed limiter on it set @ 115mph from the factory meaning it did not come from the factory with z-rated tires. Would like to know if there is anybody else out there like me.

2002 Z28 A4 NBM- Sadly now demodded :(
My buddy has a low option 99 SS that he ordered specifically for road racing. Manual windows, non-power cloth seats, no rr window defrost, cruise, T/C or T-tops. It's also an M6. It's the lowest optioned SS I've ever seen.
Also, I believe your car is a 1SC....

Sunset Orange Metalic- 2001 Camaro SS
Mines a 1SZ, your not alone, mines less options - dunno if its a good thing cept for the weight
No power seats, windows, door locks
Rear window defrost
Not Traction Control, Cruise Control
No T-tops, cloth seats

Mines been to 150 once
Dont think i'm ever gonna find the limiter or... you know

Did'nt know you could buy them stripped to bare bones. Hell the only thing my 01 Camaro does'nt have is leather and an ls1 motor. It even has the "appearace package".. Fully loaded power everything, sept seats but has manual handles for different positioning.
Tilt
T-tops
cruise
a/c
power locks
power windows
power mirrors
power hatch release
ASR
Monsoon 6 spkr (sucks)
rear defrost
4 wheel disc brakes
decarbon suspention shocks and struts (suck)
fogs and z tail lights white orange red.
Factory lid not the 90* tube that the older 3800s had.
And fly by wire too..
Oh and keyless entry with remote open hatch aswell.Last edited by Smittro; 09-25-2009 at 07:15 AM.

I think this is the 02 equivalent of the OP's car, except it's in Orange.

black 01 red 73- 01 z28 and 73 z28
most of the things that everybody is talking about is 1 option. here is a list of that 1 option . its called the "preferred equipment group" . you couldn't just order power windows or power locks or any single part of the PEG they were all part of PEG option. you either got all of the things listed or none there was no inbetween. and as far as the monsoon , it was STANDARD equiptment
