    Prick cop story

So I had to go to the air port to pick up my roommate and his dad last night. As Im pulling up to the air port I turn into the arival terminal/pick up area. My roommate calls me to tell me what part he is in. I pass a parked cop... needless to say he pulls me over for talking on the phone while driving. I was on the phone for maby 20 seconds. I tryed to tell him it was my roommate calling me to tell me where he was and he was like well don't you know the law in Ca.? Do you have your license, you guys know the rest.... What a crock of shit!!!!

lol you guys are to funny. I bet you 9 out of 10 people who pull in to pick someone up are on the phone with the person they are picking up. I guess he didnt like the way I looked at him or something.

There's really nothing to fight. Although stupid, that's the law passed in California (last year, I believe).

Not to turn this into a "my best pull over story" thread, but i once got pulled over for having a fog light out.

The cop said " I pulled you over becasue you have a lower head light out" I said, "my fog light?, I dont think they are even required to be on" He said "Well if its on the car and giving you a better night time view, it should be working" I told him that some of these cars dont even have fog lights, he said "Im not giving you a ticket, just a warning to let you know" Then he went back to his car and ran my plates, and my id, or whatever the hell they do when they go back to there car, while you sit with there spot light blinding you.

I was pulled over for over 10 minutes. I think I pissed him off, so he made me wait. What a prick. I was only 17, and now I have learned to say "yes sir and no sir" That helps with there egos and they are a little more nice. I still hate 80% of the police/law enforcement/security guards out there. I know some are ok, but most abuse ther power. they give the few nice ones a bad name.

IDK.....I've picked up lots of people from an airport before cell phones were invented so I don't see it as a necessity.

Dumb law maybe, but I can't tell you how many time some dipstick with a cell in thier ear has cut me off or been going 20 under the limit on a freeway.

Driving a souped-up muscle car and being a fairly young guy probably didn't help. I don't see how you can beat that ticket.

Even with the law, every time I am out and about there is some jackass with a phone up to his or her ear and they are not paying attention either cutting people off, in and out of their lane, going 10-20 miles below the posted speed limit, causing problems one way or another.

It never fails. You get close enough to look in the window, and, of course, they are on the damn phone.

I hear you. Had a guy almost run me off the road because he was typing on a laptop he had on the dash.

The reason we have laws is because people can't govern themselves.
They don't think about the consequences of their actions, so we enact laws in an attempt to protect the majority, from the stupidity of the minority.

So as long as you're only talking under 20 seconds or if you have a really good reason to be on the phone then its ok, right?

    P.S. airport is one word

I think that should be one area were they should be lenient. I picked up my sister and her family last week at the airport, and while I was circling around, we were constantly calling each other....there were plenty of cops too.

I think they should be stricter, with all the traffic and people wandering
around with all of their luggage, you really have to pay attention.
