Upper Radiator Hose blew

So I'm taking my daughter to the doctor today and my upper hose blows. After calling around I discover that no one carries the hose for my bird with the Power Steering Cooler option so I custom cut myself one from another hose. When I pull off the busted hose I notice the hose was rubbed through by the water pump pulley (top bubbled pulley). My questions are:

1. How common was the Power Steering Cooler? I'm asking because I have a feeling my dealer was a idiot since he'd never heard of it. Was this an option on the TA or just on the Firehawk?

2. Anyone else have problems with the pulley hitting the hose? I changed the curve in the hose slightly to help move it away from the pulley.

all f-bodies with 17 inch rims from the factory have them and no dealer knows to much about anything.

I am trying to remember from my hose change in the spring... isn't there a plastic clip on the back of the fan shroud that the hose assembly/cooler sets in? I may be off base on this.

cheapest place that i found the cooler was a gmpartsdirect. you can probably get an aftermarket cooler for a lot less money

I think your dealer was a idiot and didnt know what they were talking about. I found it for cheaper on http://www.gmpartsclub.com Good luck, hope you got it fixed!
