brew their own beer?

I've been brewing since the first of the year. And I just started drinking my first brew. It was in the primary fermenter for 1 week, in the secondary for 2 weeks, then in the bottle for 2 weeks. It seems to be getting better with age as well. Oh yeah, this is a New Castle Clone, for those that want to know.

Anyways, I made 4.21 gallons of beer. And I figure New Castle runs about $9.99 a 6 pack, I made 12 22oz bottles and 23 12oz bottles. And the recipe kit ran me $30, so I think I came out ahead. And I'm around 7.5% alcohol.

I'm also on my second batch. I'm brewing a Dark Wheat beer this time around. And wow, I can't wait for that beer.

Anyways, anyone else brew their own beer?

My Dad knows a guy that does. He's perfected his own recipes over the last like 10 years, but apparently it paid off cause he throws a big party every year and everyone likes it

I've always wanted to try it, just haven't found the time. A buddy of mine that used to brew found it required a lot more work than he signed up for and stopped doing it after about 3 batches.
