LT headers and expectations?
I just installed a Comp 224/224 581/581 112LSA cam, 918 springs, and prods in my TA M6 and it gave it noticible power, but it seems that it is really choked down a lot because i am running stock exhaust with an SLP lid and SLP cold air. I knew that it would do this before i put the cam in but what i was wondering is what kind of #s and power should i expect after i install LTs and a off-road Y. just curious if anyone has any guestimates before i do the exhaust work.

if you do a full headers back exhaust you'll be in the 380-400 HP range

Well i got the cold air for free because my cousin sold his car and had no use for it so i got lucky. To tell you the truth i probobly would not pay retail for it but if you can find a good deal it is a very good mod. In the street you really cant tell a difference but at higher speeds i could tell that it would pull harder, especially 60mph and up.

380-400hp range was what i was hoping for after the full exhaust but i did not want to get my hopes up. Some people have told me i could see more numbers from the full exhaust than what the cam gave me already, but i guess ill find out soon. I just wish that there was a chassis dyno around here so i could check my improvement before and after.

Wow, your running that cam on the stock Headers?? Your going to see a big difference when you put the headers on there. That was the cam that was suggested to me when I had my other car.

I gained around 30 rwhp and 14 lbs TQ SAE with just the LT's and the high flow cats, I already had a Magnaflow CB. I also have a 02 with the better flowing stock manifolds, so you could see more. I also have a A4 which takes a few h.p away. Now I need a cam.

Yea thats what i was hoping for was a good bump with the exhaust. It kind of dissapointed me after the cam install because it did not feel as strong as i thought it would, but then i realized that it was choked back a lot!!! The reason i got the cam first is because i had the money saved up and did not know how i wanted to do my exhaust. I think i am going with Pacesetter LTs, no cats, custom 3 inch Y, and maybe a cutout, them do away with my Slowmaster
. I swear that muffler made my car slower but anyways. I have heard a lot of people say their cars sound like crap after taking the cats off so i need some input and opinions about this setup. thanks
