Wife let me get a new toy

She is a bone stock 2002 TA with only 15k miles. I would like some advise on not too expensive mods to start out with. I think I want to start with the air intake but not sure. Thanks!

Welcome to the site and congratz on the new toy! Good find! Only 15K! You can start with the free mods and go into suspension and handling if you want better handling and better stance or go into bolt ons if you want more power.

No problem a good way to learn what you dont know is to ask someone that does. Lots of guys/gals on here with knowledge. The only dumb question is the one you dont ask. Here you go...

i'll let the post slide... first mods do the free mods (but don't do the descreening of the MAF)... GM high tech performance had an awesome write up on them... http://www.gmhightechperformance.com...ons/index.html

that link should take you there... after that start working on the suspension... lower control arms, lower control arm relocation brackets (especially if you're lowered), etc etc...

Thanks everyone, I am thinking about doing the "Free Ram Air Modification" this weekend, but a little freaked about fixing something that isn't broken. This car still has the original stock factory tires on it! Will it really make that much of a difference?

I did the “Free Ram Air Mod” today. So far I have noticed any difference but it’s been 100 degrees and I’ve had the air on max. The question from my wife is … why do I call it a TA and not a Firebird?
