the door speakers are 4 wire seperate power for the tweeter and midrange. the sail panels are two wire bass only speakers. certain speakers only get signals for bass or midrange. i bought the kee audio standard replacement package whicch is the best one for the stock head unit that he sells. only problem was when i went to install he would not return my phone call after i got the speakers and saw them to explain install. if you do a search on door panel removal theres a good writeup on here or ls1tech. panel removal wasnt that bad. trying to figure out the wiring is a pain in the ass. my buddy did most of the work so im really not sure exactly what he did. i got mine in but im still confused maybe someone who knows the wiring color codes will post and help.

Here's how you get the door panel off;

Soldering wasn't to bad. Crutchfield send pig tails for the rear and sail panels so that was plug and play. Just mark the factory pig tail wires for the door speakers and solder them the same way on the new speaker.
The wiring diagram is in the first post in a .zip file. The wires the colors refer to are the main harness the pigtails plug into.

I need to find someone close to northeast indiana that has done it before to give me a hand.
so what is the better speaker then?
I have seen people using the 6022's and some using the 62.9's.
