odometer question

is it possible the set the odemeter on the stock gauges to the milage you want? I just got done totally re doing my whole car and wanted to reset my milage so i can see what the motor has on it. the car wont be sold or anything like that.

its not legal to mess with the odometer. why not just use the trip odometer, or write the mileage down.

thats what i am doing now.it was just a question i figures there would be something legal with that.

Theres a couple ways Im not sure any are legal. There is a company hat will reprogram your existing cluster just have to google it. Next option is keep the original cluster and buy another off ebay and have it programmed. The pcm in the car will always hold the original mileage of the car the cluster is seperate so if anything was ever in questioned thats always there.
