o2 sensor ses light on
I posted this in the wrong thread befor but here we go. I have my ses light coming on and it says LOW VOLTAGE BANK 1 REAR LEFT. The wires are looking great no corrosion or break but if I don't ram on it the light will not come on. It only comes on if I snap the pedal to the floor and she gets angry like a cat and goes then the light goes on after about 20 minutes of normal driving she goes off.
Help!!!!

you might need to replace that o2 but first unplug the o2 and check the connection inside for corrosion. i see where you looked at it but it seemed unclear whether you unplugged it and looked at the indide of the connection.

another way to test it is to swap the sensors side to side and see if the code follows it to bank 2

o2
. I replaced it with a NGK one and that was recommended by the mechanic he says it was better than a Bosh. It's $159 plus 13% tax here to change one so not cheap......The mechanic guessed that it might be 1 cat converter starting to go??????? Forgot to tell you that I replaced the o2 on the post

lid was the issue
I put my stock lid back on and it works fine no more ses light so I'm staying with that stock lid

Interesting. The lid doesn't have anything to do with the O2 sensors???

I know
The only thing I can figure more air is trowing something off but as you can see I'm no mechanic if it comes back then I'll get the cat's checked and maybe change both of them I guess if you change only one it causes the ses light to come on as well but I'll change the lefy one and x my fingers. I changed the o2 sensor for nothing and that was $180 so we will see it seems to run better with the stock lid but I did clen my maf again
I wonder if the K&N is the problem?????

I agree that it's very fishy that the lid stopped an O2 ses. I would wonder more if when you were screwing around with the lid getting it off and on if you didn't bump something that leaned the car out some or something like that. Have you looked at the back side of your pcv hoses going into the tb? They're famous for leaking over there.

no no no that would not have anything to do with the lid... possibly if you had a vacuum leak after the maf. that is the only way the air induction system could even cause a problem. what was the code?

it would be a po420 or po430 code if one of the cats were going out, not a o2

no way the lid is related to that code. It's just coincidence that the code went off.....it'll be back.
