Exhaust Recommendation
New to the forums, just have one quick question. My mother (of all people) owns a 99 SS, stock, that she would like to put a cat-back on. I know nothing about chevy exhausts, so could I get some recommendations as to what type of exhaust she should look at? She is looking for something to make the exhaust note deeper, but doesn't want it to be intrusive while she is motoring around the neighborhood. Thanks for any replies.

Bright Rally Red- Camaro & Corvette
The best sounding cat back IMO is the chambered exhaust from GMMG. It is not the cheapest, but has a deep tone to it.

GMMG sounds great but is loud...same with loudmouth. Magnaflow flows good and is a lot quieter...

I just put the Magnaflow on got it from "transamws686" on LS1tech for $330.00 shipped will not find a better exhaust for the money. It is much louder than the stock and deeper to boot. I love it and would not have any other except the GMMG which is $600-$800. Take your pick.

I have a Corsa on my '01 SS, and this is definitely a good choice for her. It's around 7 bills though.

You could go with Loudmouth2, not as loud as LM1 but still has a nice rumble to it.

I personally love the GMMG chambered exhaust that I have on my '02 Z28. I removed the old Flowmaster that I had before. Wasn't loud enough.

I think it's all on personnal preference.
I got Borla but it's on my 3rd gen so i guess it doesn't count.
On 4th gens i like Corsa, but like i said it's what YOU like the best.

I bought SLP loudmouth for a nice rumble. It's not too loud at idle, but really opens up when you get on it.
