Change my spark plugs...
So finally i decided to go ahead and change the plugs in my Z28, what a PITANow i know that you can get a lot of info about the condition of your engine and to learn about developing problems by inspecting the plugs you just pool out of the motor. I was hoping to get some opinion from the experts here. The car just hit 59000 mile and dose R the original AC 41-931 plugs from the factory(NGK TR55 went in). They have a white red like residue on the top but look better then i expected, but i'm not an expert. Thanks for any input guys

Your shooting for a general tan coloring. Those look fine. Its when they are bright white that you should start to worry

Normal wear. Plugs arent rusty at all, look like fuel burn is complete and no big globs of carbon on the electrodes. Look great to me

I'm new to the LS1 world as this is my first 4th gen camaro so I'm here to learn and have a better knowledge about this awesome power plant!
I'm glad to find out my engine seems to be in a good shape, that's always a good starting point before i go with the mods. Thanks for the info guys.

Pewter- 2000 Pontiac Trans Am
they look like mine did, except for the very back one on both sides, both had what looked like burnt oil on the ceramic part. i also did a compression test since i had the plugs out. all of em between 152 and 160. not bad for 130k miles.
